The Federal GIS Coordination Group is composed of representatives from the various federal agencies in the Denver/Front Range area with an interest in sharing information on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) related activities.

The purpose of the Federal GIS Coordination Group is to:

  1. Provide a forum for information sharing on current and future GIS programs, technology, and training;
  2. Promote the availability and exchange of geographic information;
  3. Maintain the goal of minimizing duplication of effort among participants;
  4. Foster the development of partnership agreements or cooperative programs between Federal agencies.
