
GIS Day and Geography Awareness Week Report from Joseph Kerski -USGS
I hope everyone had an excellent, spatial Geography Awareness Week and GIS
Day 2003. We participated in the following ways:
1. Geography workshop for 65 preservice geography students at the
University of Northern Colorado
2. Tour, hands-on workshop, and geocaching with GPS for 120 students and
GIS users at the USGS Rocky Mountain Mapping Center.
3. Presentation at USGS Publications Conference
4. GIS course at Emily Griffith Opportunity School, Denver
5. Three workshops and USGS information exhibit at the Colorado Science
Convention.
